In short
- formaster uses only the cookies and browser storage it needs to work: to keep you signed in, remember your settings and keep your documents on your device.
- No analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.
- Paddle uses its own cookies only when you open checkout.
- Clearing site data deletes the PDFs saved on this device, so export them first.
This summary helps you read the policy. The full text below is what applies.
1.What cookies and browser storage are
Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. Websites can also keep information in your browser with local storage and IndexedDB. This policy calls all of these “cookies” and explains which ones formaster uses and why.
2.What formaster uses
formaster uses only cookies that are strictly necessary for it to work. It uses no analytics, advertising, tracking or social media cookies.
We also count broad actions in our server logs, without cookies, browser-storage identifiers or cross-site tracking. These records contain only a day, action name and broad source category. See our Privacy Policy for details.
| Purpose | What and where | Set by | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| Keeping you signed in | Local storage sb-<project-ref>-auth-token on this site, plus a temporary verification value for email links | Supabase Auth, for formaster | Until you sign out, the session expires or you clear site data |
| Keeping your PDFs and templates on this device | IndexedDB pdf_fill and formaster-local-pdfs on this site | formaster | Until you delete them or clear site data |
| Returning to your PDF after email confirmation | A local return path and an original-PDF copy under auth-drafts in IndexedDB; no entered answers or signatures | formaster | Expires after 24 hours; removed on the next draft access or when saved |
| Remembering your settings | Local storage formaster-theme (light or dark), formaster.language, and the editor’s panel widths | formaster | Until you clear site data |
| Remembering that you’ve seen the cookie notice | Local storage formaster.cookieNotice | formaster | Until you clear site data |
| Paying for a plan | Cookies and storage in Paddle’s checkout window, only when you open it | Paddle | As Paddle’s policy says |
3.Cookies set by payment providers
Email and password sign-in uses Supabase Auth and the local storage described above. When you open checkout to buy a plan, Paddle, our merchant of record, and its payment partners use cookies to process the payment and prevent fraud. They control these cookies under their own policies, including Paddle’s. If you don’t open checkout, payment cookies aren’t used.
4.Why we don’t ask you to accept cookies
The law, including the EU and UK rules on cookies, doesn’t require consent for cookies that are strictly necessary to provide a service you ask for, and those are the only ones formaster uses. That’s why we show a notice instead of asking you to choose. If we ever add cookies that aren’t necessary, such as analytics, we will ask for your consent first and update this policy.
5.Managing cookies
You can see, block and delete cookies and site data in your browser’s settings. Keep in mind:
- Clearing formaster’s site data deletes the PDFs and templates saved on this device and signs you out. Export anything you want to keep first.
- Blocking storage for this site stops formaster from saving your documents and keeping you signed in.
- Blocking third-party cookies can stop Paddle checkout from working.
6.Changes to this policy
We may change this policy at any time by posting the new version on this page and updating the “Last updated” date. By continuing to use the Service after a change, you accept the updated policy.
